Don’t Be Afraid To Move On

Growth is a process of pruning, letting go, adding new things, and upholding your values as a constant. Realizing when to stop and move on to the next chapter ( if I may say ) in your life is an indicator of growth and living life to the fullest.  Everything on your body grows and regenerates itself, your nails, hair list is endless. Your soul needs the same but you have got to be out of your comfort zone. One crucial skill is to train oneself to get comfortable not choosing the path of least resistance. The resistance always brings the extraordinary in you. Before you continue reading this blog post, I got a question for you. Is it easy for you to move on to the next thing, phase or chapter in your life? If you answered yes let me rephrase the question. Is it easy to move on to the next thing, when everything is going great? Aha, will you play it safe and dare to not disturb the nice still waters?

Moving on can be so difficult in all aspects, whether things are going great or are in shambles. You could be in a toxic relationship where you know very well that there is no hope but instead you keep on holding on. You normalize your situations and this becomes a wall that is stopping you from moving on to a place where you are loved and truly fulfilled. Again moving on from what seems to be the good can be difficult as well. You could be in a nice well paying job, great benefits, and loving co-workers. Trying to move on from such a situation might portray you as ungrateful. But hey, if you feel deep down you need to move on from that place in your life you ought to get up and do so. The longer you stay in a situation and convince yourself you are fine, the harder it is to move on to the next level in your life. And that is just stunting your growth.

What is to move on

from dictionary.com

  • to go or cause (someone) to leave somewhere
  • (intr) to progress; evolve football has moved on since then
  • (intr) to put a difficult experience behind one and progress mentally or emotionally
My favorite definition is to progress. If you are a student of personal development you will know that there is no such thing as I have arrived, you are always on the move. When negative and depressing thoughts are clouding your mind, learn to deal with them, and move on. Let’s learn not to take time for granted and use it to move on, to create space for the things we really want and what matters the most. There are so many things we should make a priority to move on from but today I want to share with you these 5 to help you point your life to the direction you want it to go. Jim Rohn once said you cannot change your life overnight but you can surely change your direction overnight
1.  Move on from staying in your comfort zone.
In one of her podcasts, Terri Savelle Foy mentioned the statement ” Comfort and convenience run the lives of unsuccessful people!”. I have never read or heard about a person who lived a fulfilled life and walking in their purpose without stepping out of their comfort zone. 2. Move on from compromising yourself, standards and, values in exchange for belonging

My mum commented on one of my blog posts with this quote by Ralph Waldo To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. Self-awareness is the first step of unleashing the superhero in you and living a fulfilled life.

3. Move on from conforming to the norm

Learn to move on from focusing on trying to please everyone around you but yourself.

4. Move on from what people think ( https://tanyafungai.com/opinions-can-stunt-your-growth/)

5. Move on from the need to be perfect

As I mentioned earlier, as a student of CANI ( Constant and Never Ending Improvements), you should always remember you can never arrive ( be perfect ) instead you have got to keep moving. Dare to move every day of your life

I encourage you to take inventory of the areas you need to move on in your life.
