Standing out is part of personal growth

Hello friends😊, this week’s post is going to be short and sweet. I hope it encourages you to move in your purpose. Enjoy the read!
When are we going to realize that “society’s” expectation is just an opinion someone else had towards life. The only reason why it seems like the blueprint of life is that that opinion dominated and became the norm. It’s okay to be different. Life does not have a specific template in which you have to live by. Yes, we have principles and philosophies that help us achieve the level of success we desire (success is not a destination) but the outcome and procedure are not definite for each person.
Growth is understanding that you don’t have to follow the crowd for you to feel like you are on the right track. It is totally okay to be different as long as you are following your purpose. Being different does not mean you are less important in any kind of way. It’s in human nature to fear what we do not understand and try to judge and control what we fear and when we fail to control we attack. That is why when we do not go with the crowd we don’t always feel like we are getting enough support from the people around us.
In as much as you might not get support when you follow your own course, the truth is when you succeed in that you inspire the rest of the crowd to go on their own path. It takes boldness and courage to stand out from the crowd. That poem from Akeelah and the bee speaks volumes, it says:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
True success is knowing what you want and being okay with it even when the next person thinks you are settling for less or being unrealistic, stay true to your purpose, dreams, and goals. That is part of growth and it brings true joy. Don’t be afraid to stand out and do life big.
