Resourcefulness: Is The Lack Of Resources Your Ultimate Problem?

If someone is to ask you why you are not where you would like to be in life, or at least on the journey towards, What would be your response. Whatever your response may be am sure it is leaning towards resources. I do not have enough time; I do not have funding the list is endless. Lack of Resources is not the reason behind your stunted growth or lack of progress. The lack of resourcefulness is. If funding (resource) is the reason behind your stagnation, what can you do to acquire the funding (resourcefulness)? Have you exhausted all the avenues in which you could acquire the funding? In most cases, the answer is no. One of the biggest mistakes we make that stops us from achieving our goals is waiting for someone else to do the work for us. We block our minds from being resourceful the moment we face challenges because we feel it is someone else’s duty to help us. That someone could be your parent, the government, or a sponsor.
Resourceful people take 100% responsibility for their lives. They do not play the blame game or throw parties where self-pity and complacency are the guests of honor. Being a resourceful individual means you do not sit around and wait for someone else to rescue you. You take initiative and use what you have. As Jim Rohn once said, Don’t wish it were easy, wish you were better. The people we look up to are not the ones who had it easy but those who found a way despite the conditions.

What does it mean to be resourceful?
According to https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/resourceful resourceful means;
To be able to find and use different ways to achieve your goals.
Resourceful people take 100% responsibility for their lives.
I came across this short story about being a resourceful individual;
Once upon a time, a young donkey asked his grandpa, “How do I grow up to be just like you?”
“Oh, that’s simple,” the elder donkey said. “All you have to do is remember to shake it off and step up.”
“What does that mean?” asked the youngster.
The grandfather replied, “Let me tell you a story … Once when I was your age, I was out walking. I wasn’t paying attention and fell deep into an old abandoned well. I started braying and braying. Finally, an old farmer came by and saw me. I was scared to death. But then he left. I stayed in that well all night.
“The next morning he came back with a whole group of people, and they looked down at me. Then the old farmer said, ‘The well is abandoned and that donkey isn’t worth saving, so let’s get to work.’ And believe it or not, they started to shovel dirt into the well. I was going to be buried alive!
“After the first shovels of dirt came down on me, I realized something. Every time dirt landed on my back, I could shake it off and use it to step up a bit higher! They kept shoveling, and I kept shaking the dirt off and stepping up.
“ ‘Shake it off and step up … shake it off and step up …’ I kept repeating to myself for encouragement. And it wasn’t long before I stepped out of the well, exhausted but triumphant.”
So no matter how difficult the situation … no matter how bad things get … no matter how much dirt gets dumped on you, just remember — shake it off and step up. You’ll be alright.
The moral of the story, when you are out of Resources, It’s time to get resourceful.
